Castles & Coasts Housing Association (CCHA) was created in July 2017 as a result of merging Two Castles (TCHA) and Derwent and Solway (D&S) Housing Associations. We have an annual turnover of over £30m, employ nearly 200 staff, and own and manage more than 7,000 properties in rural and urban communities across the North of England, with around 75% located in Cumbria.
As well as a commitment to providing new affordable housing solutions and investing more than £10m each year in delivering new homes, CCHA plans to spend more than £10.5m per annum on maintenance (including major repairs), creating employment and skills opportunities in our local communities.
Why work for us?
We couldn’t do what we do without our people, so we do whatever we can to make working at CCHA as enjoyable and fulfilling as possible for every individual.
CCHA strives to be an exemplar of good practice in both organisational excellence and as an employer. Our aim is to engage, motivate, develop and inspire our people to work towards a shared vision as well as individual priorities.
Employee engagement is something that CCHA is committed to achieving excellence in. We involve people, work with them, and agree a common approach to ‘how we do things around here’.
Customer Services is a dynamic front line team providing an excellent level of customer service to residents, contractors, colleagues and the general public. We have a great team spirit and support network enabling us to maintain our service standards.
There is a hugely positive atmosphere amongst all staff at CCHA. Colleagues from teams throughout the Association work together to meet the same common goals. Working as part of a team is crucial for us to be able to meet the needs of our residents, who are at the heart of what we do.
The customer is at the heart of everything CCHA do, with dedicated and committed staff working together. Everyone is so helpful and considerate. Even though I have only been here a short time, I already feel valued, supported and rewarded by CCHA. It really is a pleasure to come to work.
