About Castles & Coasts Housing Association

Castles & Coasts Housing Association (CCHA) was created in July 2017 as a result of merging Two Castles (TCHA) and Derwent and Solway (D&S) Housing Associations. We have an annual turnover of over £30m, employ nearly 200 staff, and own and manage more than 7,000 properties in rural and urban communities across the North of England, with around 75% located in Cumbria.

As well as a commitment to providing new affordable housing solutions and investing more than £10m each year in delivering new homes, CCHA plans to spend more than £10.5m per annum on maintenance (including major repairs), creating employment and skills opportunities in our local communities.

Mary Parker, Senior Customer Services Officer

  • There is a hugely positive atmosphere amongst all staff at CCHA. Colleagues from teams throughout the Association work together to meet the same common goals. Working as part of a team is crucial for us to be able to meet the needs of our residents, who are at the heart of what we do.

    David Elwood, Head of Maintenance

  • The customer is at the heart of everything CCHA do, with dedicated and committed staff working together.  Everyone is so helpful and considerate.  Even though I have only been here a short time, I already feel valued, supported and rewarded by CCHA. It really is a pleasure to come to work.

    John-Paul Whalen, Customer Experience Officer
