A local housing association has set up a Community Fund, to help enable community based groups and organisations, provide opportunities for residents living in our communities.
Castles & Coasts Housing Association (CCHA), who own and manage 7,000 homes across the North of England, has created a Community Fund, to support residents living in their communities and is encouraging community based organisations to apply for funding.
Community groups and organisations can apply for a grant of between £100 – £5,000, from CCHA’s total annual amount of £10,000. The fund will support projects and activities that create a sense of community, reduce anti-social behaviour and support residents to gain employment or develop their skills, engage in health and wellbeing activities and gain access to digital and financial inclusion services.
Adam Gould, Head of Customer Service & Engagement from CCHA, said: “We are really pleased to launch our new Community Fund, which supports our ambition to help enable thriving communities.
“We hope the grants will provide support across a range of projects. Most importantly, we want this fund to bring residents together in our communities, after what has been a really tough year for everyone.”
Applications for the Community Fund open 5th July 2021 and will be accepted until 27th August 2021. Each application will then be assessed against the fund’s criteria.
Sandra Eagles, Deputy Chair of CCHA’s Residents’ Scrutiny Panel added: “This past year has highlighted just how important our communities are and, we look forward to the fund helping to create opportunities across our communities."
