Castles & Coasts is delighted to announce the completion of improvement works to Headland Close, Workington, as part of our ongoing efforts to tackle anti-social behaviour.
After liaising with members of the local community, through the Allerdale Local Focus Hub – alongside our partners Allerdale Borough Council and Cumbria Police – we were able to secure the funding needed to help make significant improvements to the local area.
This included landscaping and the introduction of crime prevention measures, in a bid to tackle anti-social behaviour and improve the quality of this area for local residents.
Anna Bates, Head of Housing at Castles & Coasts Housing Association, said: “We are delighted with the feedback we’ve received from residents since completing the works.
“As a housing association, we know just how important a role we play in improving the lives of our customers and working collaboratively with partners such as Allerdale Borough Council and Cumbria Police – through initiatives such as the Allerdale Local Focus Hub – is key to ensure our communities are safe, welcoming places to live and play.”
