A Northern Housing Association has expanded partnerships with a number of their key delivery partners, to carry out its repairs and maintenance and grounds maintenance services.
Castles & Coasts Housing Association (CCHA), which owns and manages 7,000 homes across the North of England, wanted to build on a number of its already established and successful partnerships, to ensure that residents receive an exceptional repairs and maintenance and grounds maintenance service.
Karbon Solutions Limited (KSL), who are a subsidiary of Karbon Homes, already carries out gas servicing and gas repairs to all of CCHA’s homes, across the North of England, and, from 1st April 2021, KSL took over delivery of CCHA’s grounds maintenance service to CCHA’s homes in the North East. In addition, from 1st May 2021, KSL also took over delivery of CCHA’s repairs and maintenance service in the North East.
CCHA continually look for the most innovative and cost-effective ways to deliver services to their residents. CCHA’s North East homes are located in similar areas to Karbon Homes’ properties. This means that, by working in partnership, across the same operating areas, CCHA and Karbon Homes can continue to support local communities through employment opportunities and a reduction in unnecessary travel from outside the local areas. This allows both organisations to work in a more efficient and environmentally friendly way.
Rob Brittain, CCHA’s Property Services Director, said: “We are delighted to build on our long standing and successful partnership with Karbon Homes, to ensure that our residents are provided with a consistent and high-quality repairs and maintenance service.”
“Both CCHA and KSL pride themselves on delivering excellent services to residents and we look forward to working in collaboration, to ensure that we continually improve the services we provide, to meet our residents’ needs, whilst also providing the best possible value for money.”
Ian Johnson, Karbon Homes’ Director of Property Services, said: “We are very pleased to be extending the work which KSL undertake for CCHA. It’s been a very successful partnership over the last six years, delivering heating services to CCHA residents, and now we have an opportunity to extend that relationship.”
“I look forward to KSL going from strength to strength, over the coming months and years.”
In addition to expanding their partnership with Karbon Homes within the North East, also from 1st April 2021, Castles & Coasts Services, CCHA’s internal contractor, took over delivery of CCHA’s repairs and maintenance service in Carlisle and the surrounding areas, whilst South Lakes Housing took over delivery of CCHA’s repairs and maintenance service in Eden, Cumbria.
