Residents raise funds for Breast Cancer UK

Residents of Greta Gardens in Keswick came together in a heartwarming community effort to raise over £500 for Breast Cancer UK through a coffee morning.

The event, held this morning, saw residents and their families actively participate in baking, creating balloon towers, and donating generously.

The coffee morning was more than just a fundraiser; many of our residents know someone who has been affected by breast cancer and wanted to help raise awareness and give something back to this worthwhile cause.

Homemade cakes and treats lovingly prepared by the residents filled the room, tempting people to part with their money. The event drew a fantastic turnout, with family and friends joining in to support the cause.

Lousie Blackburn-Graham, CCHA Scheme Manager said: “We’re incredibly proud of our residents for their enthusiastic participation and generous contributions. The generosity of all those who attended has blown us away!”

The funds raised will be donated to Breast Cancer UK, helping them to save lives, reduce costs for the NHS, and eradicate preventable breast cancer.
