Residents’ Voice and Annual Report launched

Did you know that Castles & Coasts Housing Association (CCHA) supported almost 300 residents last year to gain over one million pounds worth of extra benefits? This is just one of the highlights of our combined Residents’ Voice and Annual Report for the April 2023 to March 2024 financial year.

Other key highlights include:

  • Resident satisfaction staying above our 90% target
  • Welcoming hundreds of residents to CCHA with 588 new tenancies in general needs and independent living homes
  • £54,629 of funding being allocated to residents from our hardship fund to give a helping hand where needed
  • Completing 19,900 repairs
  • 87,493 contacts made with our Customer Services team
  • Making 55,250 wellbeing calls to residents in independent living schemes
  • Bringing 168 brand new homes to our region for affordable rent and shared ownership

Stephanie Murphy, CCHA’s Chief Executive, said: “We are proud to present some excellent achievements again this year. Thank you to the residents who have engaged with us to provide valuable feedback, along with the team at CCHA. Resident feedback helps us to continually improve our services, and the communities we work within.”

The report is set against the backdrop of the Regulator of Social Housing publishing a revised set of Consumer Standards in 2024. These Standards set out the outcomes we must deliver.

Stephanie Murphy continued: “The report outlines our absolute commitment to delivering the Consumer Standard outcomes - making sure we truly understand what our residents need from us as a landlord, outlining how we are accountable, how committed we are to treating residents with fairness and respect, and how dedicated we are to making sure our residents live in safe homes within safe and thriving communities.”
