Following a rigorous recruitment process, Castles & Coasts Housing Association (CCHA) have appointed Marie Hardeman as Executive Director of Customers and Communities.
CCHA manages around 7,500 homes across Cumbria and the North East of England and has over 14,000 customers. Marie joined CCHA in the revamped role following Dawn Clark’s promotion from Housing Services Director to Chief Executive.
Marie is responsible for providing strategic leadership to CCHA’s housing and customer teams, for making sure CCHA is compliant with regulatory Consumer Standards and is CCHA’s Executive Lead for customer complaints and equality, diversity and inclusion.
Throughout her career, Marie has held leadership roles in housing, local government, and central government, most recently as Customer Director at the Rural Payments Agency, and is committed to making a real difference to customers and their communities.
Marie said: “I’m really passionate about making sure the services we deliver are right for our diverse customers, and that we’re delivering them in a way that meets their individual needs. I’ll continue to work with partner organisations and engage with our residents so that we learn how we can continually improve our services to them and our communities.”
Marie is also leading CCHA’s Transform Together programme. She continued: “I’m thrilled to have joined the organisation at such an exciting time. Transform Together is an opportunity for us to develop new ways of working that empower our colleagues and provide the best service to our residents, and resident feedback will be key to its success.”
Dawn Clark, CCHA’s Chief Executive, said: “I’m delighted to have Marie on board.
Marie’s extensive experience, and passion and commitment to supporting residents and communities, shone through, making her the perfect candidate for this role.”
