Castles & Coasts Housing Association (CCHA) is proud to stand with organisations across the UK in support of ASB Awareness Week 2025, a national campaign running from 30 June – 6 July to take a stand against anti-social behaviour (ASB) and promote safer communities.

To mark the return of ASB Awareness Week this year, CCHA has organised a week of estate walkabouts in neighbourhoods across 12 towns and villages in Cumbria and the north east.

Colleagues will be on hand to chat to residents, hand out leaflets on how to report ASB, and will be joined at points in the week by representatives from other agencies including the police, local authorities and restorative justice charity, Remedi.

Led by Resolve, the UK’s leading organisation on community safety and ASB, the week is backed by Resolve members, HM Government, Local Government Association, and key partners including the National Police Chiefs’ Council, National Fire Chiefs’ Council, Historic England, Neighbourhood Watch, the Premier League Charitable Fund, Association of Police and Crime Commissioners and others.

Now in its fifth year, ASB Awareness Week 2025 highlights the impact that ASB has on victims and communities, raises awareness of the support available to victims, and promotes partnership working, bringing together councils, housing associations, police, charities, youth organisations and community groups, reflective of the fact that everyone has a role in tackling ASB.

The campaign aims to encourage communities to take a stand against ASB and highlight the actions that can be taken by those experiencing it.

CCHA handled 537 reports of ASB in the 2024-25 financial year and is committed to supporting those residents who are affected by ASB.

Anna Bates, Head of Housing at CCHA, said: “Everyone deserves to feel safe in their home and in their local community. ASB can really blight neighbourhoods, so we’re committed to working with our partners, residents and our local communities to tackle it. ASB Awareness Week is a chance to raise awareness, support victims, and build stronger partnerships to prevent anti-social behaviour before it escalates.”

Rebecca Bryant OBE, Chief Executive of Resolve, said:

“ASB is not low-level. It can have a devastating and long-lasting impact on individuals and communities and often escalates to increasingly harmful behaviour.

“We are delighted that CCHA is backing this vital campaign. It is only through strong local partnerships that we can meet the growing challenge of ASB and ensure people feel safe where they live.”
