When we heard that Maryport Rescue needed volunteers to tidy up their station, we just had to help!
Maryport Rescue is an independent, volunteer run lifeboat flood, swift water, search & rescue service. The volunteer crew (which includes some of our colleagues) risk their own lives to ensure our community is kept safe.
Each CCHA employee is entitled to one paid volunteering day per year. It’s a chance to give back, connect with the community, and make a difference beyond our office walls. When the call went out to help Maryport Rescue, staff from across CCHA stepped up! Colleagues helped by repainting the stations floor and carrying out some much needed repairs.
A spokesperson for Maryport Rescue said: “We are humbled and thankful for the generosity, time and effort, of the team from CCHA who spent time this past week on station to repair and repaint the station floor. Thank you team CCHA!”
