Castles & Coasts Housing Association (CCHA) has published its second Gender Pay Gap Report (GPGR).
Any employer with over 250 staff on a given ‘snapshot date’ has to submit and publish their gender pay gap data within one year of that date - it’s a legal requirement. CCHA’s snapshot date was 5 April 2024, when the organisation had 291 employees, so had to publish the report by April 2025.
Gender pay gap is an equality measure showing the difference in average earnings between women and men within an organisation.
It’s not the same as equal pay, which is any difference in pay for men and women doing the same or equivalent work. It’s unlawful to pay people unequally because of their gender.
CCHA’s Head of People, Clive Liggett, said: “We’re committed to creating an inclusive and supportive culture and working environment, to help make sure colleagues achieve their full potential and contribute to our success regardless of their gender.
“Producing this year’s report has helped show us how far we’ve progressed since we published our first ever report last year. We’re especially pleased to see that the variation between female and male average rates of pay has reduced and become more balanced since our first GPGR.”
CCHA launched its Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Strategy and Action Plan in 2022, and is continuing its work towards being a truly inclusive employer.
