National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) runs from 5 to 11 February 2024. Now in its 17th year, the week-long celebration of apprenticeships showcases the impact apprenticeships can have on communities, local businesses and regional economies.

NAW brings together everyone passionate about apprenticeships to celebrate the value, benefit and opportunity that they bring.

The theme for NAW 2024 is 'Skills For Life'. Castles & Coasts Housing Association (CCHA) is proud to provide apprenticeship programmes to offer people from a wide range of backgrounds the chance to develop their skills and progress in their chosen careers.

As part of NAW 2024, on Wednesday we’ll share Matthew’s story. You’ll find out more about his personal journey on an apprenticeship with Castles & Coasts Services (CCS), the in-house team that delivers various services in CCHA properties and estates.

John McGee, HR Manager at CCHA, said: “I’d encourage anyone looking for their first job, or maybe thinking about a change of role, to consider apprenticeships. They’re open to all ages, levels and backgrounds and provide a route into successful and fulfilling careers.

“We’ve been offering apprenticeships for the past two years at CCHA. It’s just as rewarding for us to see how the apprentice’s skills and confidence develop during the process, as it is for them.

“I’m thrilled that, to celebrate National Apprenticeship Week, I can announce that CCHA will be advertising more apprenticeships this year as part of CCS’s continued expansion – keep an eye on our website and social media for details.”
