What is STAIRs?
STAIRs (Social Tenant Access to Information Requirements) gives residents easier access to information about how their homes and services are managed. It's designed to improve transparency, help residents understand how decisions are made, and make it easier to hold housing providers to account.
On these pages, you'll find information about how Castles & Coasts is run, how we perform, how we spend money, how we manage and invest in homes, and the policies that guide our services.
We want this information to be accurate, easy to understand and simple to access so that residents can stay informed about the services they receive.
While residents cannot yet request completely new information during this phase of STAIRS, you can submit a review request starting October 1, 2026, if you believe we have failed to publish the correct details or meet publication rules.
You'll be able to submit a direct information requests (From April 1, 2027). This is when residents can actively ask for specific, unpublished records regarding the management of their housing, repairs, and safety
